Hoboken Sunday Dinners

Sunday Dinners.  Time to reflect on the week that was and look forward to what’s ahead.  Time to listen to stories from friends, time to experiment with new food, time to enjoy life.  After a great weekend, which included a Yankees game on Saturday, I decided to stay in Hoboken for dinner on Sunday night with Ben and Denise, Christina, Mario and Karen.  We kicked off  the summer by having a surf and turf grilled lobster bake.  Despite cloudy skies and a slight sprinkle the lobsters and steak turned out perfectly and the company couldn’t be beat.  We talked about baby Harrison who will be arriving soon and shared stories. To top it all off? – Denise’s Ricarelli’s: superb doesn’t begin to describe them; soft baked goodness with an amaretto and lemon citrus effervescent finish…need I say more?  After finishing dinner I made the drive home to CT thankful for time well spent.

the way is see it – if you have the opportunity to spend quality time with family and friends over a meal, especially if it’s a Sunday Dinner, it’s worth it to drive through the dark and arrive home late.
